Sue
After receiving my Degree in Accounting from King’s College, I started working for Hurt & Associates, Inc in 1980. I purchased the firm in 1993 when Al Hurt (the founder and reason for the name Hurt & Associates) passed away. In 1994, after completing the required hours of course studies, I became an Enrolled Agent with the Internal Revenue Service. This credential allows me better access to the Internal Revenue Services files to efficiently solve tax related issues.
I specialize in new business setup for all business entities. This includes payroll, book keeping and tax planning. I also process tax returns year round for personal and all business entities. |

Alane
I started working for Hurt & Associates, Inc in 1984. I continued my employment with Hurt & Associates, Inc when Sue Bentley purchased the firm. Luckily, when Sue purchased the business, her first business decision was to keep the tradition of closing at noon on Wednesday’s.
My specialized areas include sales tax, highway use tax, payroll and bookkeeping. |

Joyce
In 2001 Sue hired me, while my children were in school, without me even knowing I wanted to work. I became well adapted with the inner workings of an accounting firm, and eventually became a full time employee in 2004. I am now attending Rowan-Cabarrus Community College to further my education
My areas of service are personal tax return preparation, bookkeeping and payroll. |

Jessica
I began working at Hurt & Associates, Inc in 1999 thru an internship while I was in high school. I continued my employment part time while attending King’s College and Rowan-Cabarrus Community College. I transitioned to a full time employee after receiving my Certificate & Associates Degree in Accounting.
My specialized areas are QuickBooks setup & consulting, payroll, personal tax preparation and bookkeeping. |
